Marcus is a registered US patent attorney with over 15 years of experience working with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. His practice focuses on patent procurement and portfolio management, patent strategy, offensive and defensive patent review, infringement and validity opinions, freedom-to-operate analysis, and due diligence review.
Marcus has prosecuted numerous domestic and foreign patent applications in a wide range of electrical and mechanical technology areas. Exemplary areas include software, mobile devices and applications, data storage and retrieval, sensor-based systems, content delivery networks, circuit design, biometrics, optics, electromechanical devices, and Internet applications.
Marcus also possesses extensive patent experience with a broad array of medical devices, including diagnostic and monitoring equipment, surgical devices, visualization systems, and optical systems. This experience encompasses electrical (hardware and software), mechanical, and electromechanical related patent applications in the medical device field.
Marcus' graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and worked as an engineer in Silicon Valley for several years before becoming an attorney.
